Become a Money Movers Host

We’re looking for women and non-binary people to host important conversations about money and the planet with your friends, colleagues and neighbours.
How it works:

1. You’ll get trained up in the Money Movers peer-support methodology alongside a cohort of fellow Hosts.

2. Then you’ll gather a group of between 5-8 women. You’ll create a safe and relaxed space around a dinner table, coffee shop, or zoom room to talk about money and the planet. Along the way, you'll be supported by a Money Movers coach, as well as your fellow Hosts, and your a Money Movers Host toolkit of session-plans and resources.

3. After three meet-ups, your group will report back on what action you took, and how much you each moved for the planet. Your total will be added to our grand total.

4. And your whole group will be invited to join the Money Movers community, a community of 350+ women committed to taking climate action with their finances.

Registration is now closed for our Host training cohort, but please sign up to our mailing list to hear about future opportuities.

This is for you if:
  • You are a cis or trans woman, or a non-binary person who feels more comfortable in women-centered spaces
  • You care deeply about climate change, and want to take collective action
  • You like getting people together to have discussions about meaningful topics
  • You are interested in making a difference with your money (the amount doesn’t matter)
  • You do not need to know anything about finance, and will not be expected to teach or advise anyone about finance (in fact, we'll train you to support you not to do this!)

Accessibility and inclusion

Money Movers is committed to being an inclusive and equitable movement.

Money Movers is open to all women, including cis and trans women. Money Movers also welcomes non-binary/genderfluid people who wish to access women-centered spaces.

We aim to make our spaces inclusive of women of colour, queer women, older women, disabled women, neurdivergent women, and women from other marginalised groups.

Our training sessions will take place via Zoom, using online tools like Google Jamboards. There will be an option to turn on live captions during sessions. You’ll need a good internet connection to participate in Host training, but you can host your group in person or online (or a hybrid).

After signing up, all Hosts will be contacted and there will be a chance to create an access plan together if needed. If you have any inclusion or access questions before signing up, please contact us.

We are on a long-term, active learning journey around equity and anti-oppression - if you have a suggestion for how we can improve, we'd love to hear from you.
